Our body remembers every event, big or small, pleasant or otherwise... 

 

I’m providing these 5 minutes talks regarding our emotional development in relationship to global crisis by the coronavirus. The overall themes of my talks focus on outer chaos, however inner calmness and healing. 

 

I want to share a few thoughts really about inner healing a little bit more in the shape of forgiveness. Everything that has ever happened to us our body remembers. Every smile we’ve ever had, every moment we had, every ice cream we’ve ever had as 7 years old. All these things our body remembers. It not just remembers big things. It remembers everything.  

 

The reason that we are here at this moment is because of everything that has ever happened to us has brought us to this moment. What I am focus on is the vibration of our bodies. What is the vibration that we hold onto? The low vibrations that produce illness or produces vulnerability that are not healthy to the body, perhaps some chronic conditions. So, the things we hold onto, really are, we hold onto the vibrations of life.  

 

This storm of virus certainly is huge and dramatic. It is going to trigger so many emotions that we had from the past. Not just the current ones that are just the chronic condition is producing. It brings us to touch so many things.  

 

Is there a way then to look clearing out any stories you hold onto from the past but really serve you no good at this moment so that you can face the current situation with great confidence, great inner strength, and great focus? So, the idea of holding onto the old stories. If I had something that happened to me in a dramatic nature twenty years ago, it was an angry situation. When I think about that situation, I can look at it as a teaching situation. But when I feel that anger, that takes me back twenty years. How do you let go of those emotions that were good at that time but are not good right now? Letting go of those low vibration. Let the current situation not add on to those low vibrations to your life.  

 

There is a statement. It goes like this: 

 

I made the decisions based on what I knew at that time, the support I had at that time, and the circumstances I had at that time.  

 

So, if I look back at my life, everything I have ever done is based on what I knew at that time, the support I had at that time, and the circumstances I had in my life. If I can change something now and go back to change what I knewI can’t. Go back to change the support I had? I can’t. Change my circumstances? I can’t. If I did, If I did, if I did, etc. I may not stand here right now because I would be somewhere else.  

 

Everything happens because what is going on. If I look at people, guess what, everyone else is based on what they knew at that time, the support they had at that time, and their circumstances. If I can apply that to my past, apply that to the lives of other people, then I let go the low vibrations, the stories that don’t mean anything right now.  Our bodies are designed to heal. 80% of our pancreas is new every 24 hours. I can go over a lot of things in our bodies in the constant state of repairing and restoration except when the body is in fear. Then it stops repairing. It only focuses on survival.  

 

Ease the way. Come back to the calmness inside you, confidence inside you. Let the body automatically do its job of healing.

Master Glenn Tobey, M. Div., M. A. in Management, is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in private practice in Duluth, Minnesota.

He has almost forty years of experience in the Human Service field and has worked in both urban and rural settings, and values the collaborative community-based model.

He has also taught at the college level, and conducted numerous SFQ workshops and trainings in various community settings. Glenn continues to teach and to share his knowledge and wisdom of Spring Forest Qigong which is at the center of both his professional focus and his personal passion. 

Glenn is a member of the SFQ teaching team. He teaches Level 1, Level 2, Level 3, Instructor Certification, and other workshops.
