The body’s energy flows through many energy channels (“meridians”). Your body was designed for its energy always to flow smoothly, in perfect balance.

Think of the body's energy system like water running in a riverbed. When the water is full and flows smoothly, everything is fine and in balance. But when something blocks the rivers flow, then the problems begin. Upstream, water overflows the banks and there is flooding. Downstream, the river dries up and there is drought. Before anything else:

 

01Let your body relax

02Focus on feeling the energy

03Breathe slowly, gently, and deeply

 

When you breathe in, gently draw your abdomen in a little. As you breathe out, let your abdomen out.

Gently place the tip of your tongue against the roof of your mouth. The tongue is a switch connecting the body’s two main energy channels.

Keep your hands and fingers open. This opens your energy channels. When you close your hands and fingers, the energy channels close.
